I’ve always had this cozy dream of being a homemaker, nestled in my kitchen, whipping up delicious homemade meals that make everyone feel at home. There’s something magical about the aroma of fresh-baked bread wafting through the house! This week, I’ve decided to dive into a new adventure: sourdough bread! 🥖
Now, I haven’t rolled up my sleeves just yet, but don’t worry—I’m in full research mode! I’m on the hunt for the best tools and tips to get started, soaking up all the knowledge like a sponge (or should I say like dough rising in a warm kitchen?). I hope to share in the near future what I have found and how sourdough baking is going.
While I’m eagerly preparing for my sourdough journey, I can’t forget my previous triumph: homemade bagels! It’s been a while since I baked them, especially after welcoming little MJ into our lives. But I can’t resist sharing the delightful recipe I found from Sally’s Baking Recipes. It’s laid out so clearly, making it easy for anyone to follow, and trust me, they’re absolutely delicious! 🥯
Now the only thing that I do differently is I coat the top of the bagels with olive oil instead of egg wash. Isaac enjoyed them more with olive oil instead of the egg wash.
I can’t wait to embark on this sourdough journey, but in the meantime, I’m ready to revisit my bagel-making skills! I love that Isaac thinks they’re super tasty—nothing beats the joy of sharing homemade treats with loved ones. Here’s to many more delicious adventures in the kitchen! 🥳👩🍳✨
