Once again, life has caught up with me, and I’ve been slacking on sharing what’s been going on. This week, we celebrated Christmas — the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It’s such an amazing time to reflect on the many blessings He gives us throughout the year and to focus on celebrating His life. I’m also feeling incredibly grateful for the gift of family and the joy of being together. There’s something special about the love and warmth that fills the home during this time, and I never take it for granted 🤗
It was especially fun getting to see Christmas through LALA’s eyes this year. Though she was sick on Christmas Day and couldn’t fully enjoy opening her gifts, she’s starting to feel better and has been having a blast playing with her new toys. I’m so grateful to see her smile again.
Unfortunately, MJ is now really sick, which threw a wrench in our holiday plans, but that’s okay — her health is the most important thing. There have been lots of cuddles and snuggles with my babies this week, and as tough as it’s been, I cherish these moments of closeness.
On a brighter note, here’s a little sourdough update: I’ve made six loaves so far, and they’ve been delicious! 😋 I haven’t figured out all the kinks just yet, but I’m proud to share that everyone, especially Isaac, has been enjoying the bread. There’s something so fulfilling about the process, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my creations with those I love 🥰
Christmas, even amidst the chaos of sickness, has been a reminder of how lucky I am to have the gifts of family, love, and the simple joys of giving. I’m looking forward to continuing this season of gratitude and joy 🤩
