As I reflect on the past year, I can’t help but feel so grateful for everything I’ve experienced and accomplished. The year started with big plans—but life had other surprises in store! Less than two weeks into January, I found out I was pregnant with MJ, and everything changed in the best way.
February was full of joy as we celebrated Lala’s first birthday—it’s hard to believe how quickly she’s grown! Later in the year, we went on an unforgettable family trip to Hawaii with friends, soaking up the sun and making memories. I also spent two meaningful weeks working at a grief camp for school, an experience that touched my heart deeply.
Summer came and went in a whirlwind of fun at Raging Waters and organizing the house to prepare for MJ’s arrival. Before I knew it, school started again in late August, and just two weeks into the semester, MJ was born! (Somehow, amidst the chaos, I managed to earn 100% in both classes I was taking—I’m still amazed I pulled that off!)
Since MJ’s arrival, time has flown by. She’ll be four months old next week, and it feels like she was born just yesterday. We ended the year on a high note, celebrating the holiday season with family and cherishing the warmth of togetherness.
Now, it’s time to turn the page and think about what’s next. I know it’s a bit of a cliché to say, “New year, new goals,” but honestly, this year’s goals feel exciting and doable for me.
Here’s what I’m aiming for in 2024:
- Dedicate time each night to scripture study and reflection.
- Be a fully present mom, soaking up all the sweet moments with my girls and Isaac.
- Make more meaningful memories as a family—big and small.
- Keep fostering a Christ-centered home filled with love and faith.
- Level up my baking and cooking game (hello, new recipes!).
- Embrace and celebrate my body for all it has accomplished in these past few years.
- Make fitness a priority by working out at least 3 times a week, focusing on building strength, boosting energy, and celebrating what my body can do!
- Play pickleball once a week, improve my serve, and maybe even join a local tournament for fun!
- Commit to posting consistently on the blog at least twice a month, sharing authentic, engaging content, and actively connect with my audience to grow my following by 20% this year through social media, collaborations, and meaningful interactions.
- Stay ahead of assignments by dedicating focused study sessions each week, and aim for a GPA that makes me proud while balancing school with family life.
- Embrace each day with gratitude, find joy in the little moments, and keep striving to be the best version of myself—mind, body, and spirit.
As I look ahead to this new year, I feel a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for what’s to come. The past year was filled with growth, challenges, and countless blessings, and I’m ready to carry those lessons into the future. Each goal I’ve set is a step toward becoming more present, intentional, and fulfilled in the life I’m building with my family.
This year isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress, love, and creating memories that matter. I’m determined to embrace the journey, celebrate the small victories, and give myself grace along the way. Here’s to a year of faith, family, and finding joy in the everyday moments. Let’s make it a great one!
